Who sponsored your Little League baseball team? The local Piggly Wiggly? Home Depot, perhaps? Well, that’s all well and good, but a group of kids out in Akron, Ohio have got you beat, because they’re getting sponsored by their town’s first sons, the Black Keys. Apparently, Keys drummer Patrick Carney used to play for the team as a kid, and now that he has a few millions to spare, found it in his heart to donate a few hundred dollars and give his old team a corporate sponsor that any professional baseball team would crawl across broken glass for. As an added bonus, Carney and Keys guitarist Dan Auerbach told the kids to send their custom jerseys to them when the season wraps, and they’ll autograph every single one.
