Time magazine analyzed more than 400,000 Instagram selfies, taken in places around the world, and found that Makati City and Pasig, Philippines is “the selfiest city in the world,” with 258 selfie-takers per 100,000 people. Manhattan, Miami and Anaheim/Santa Ana, Calif., Petaling Jaya Malaysia rounded out the top five. Along with an interactive map, Time has also created a list of the top 100 selfie cities on the planet. Admittedly, their methodology for the study isn’t perfect—they only looked at photos tagged with the word “selfie” that also included a location—it does provide an interesting look at places where people like taking pictures of themselves.
