If you follow Letitia Wright, than you’re aware of two things: 1) She is a massive movie star (in fact she was the highest box office earning actor of 2018!) 2) She’s incredibly vocal about her Christian faith.

However, in a recent Tweet, Wright said that journalists have been editing her quotes so they don’t include discussions about God.

“It’s super cute when journalists/interviewers for magazines leave out the massive part where I give God the glory for the success/ achievements in my life,” she wrote. “Haha, I still love you and God will still be praised.”

It’s not clear which publications she was referring to.

Last year, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she said that God helps guide her in making career decisions, explaining, “I pride myself on not just changing the lane and taking everything. If something feels off in my spirit [in regards to a part], I know that’s God’s way of saying, ‘You shouldn’t do that.’”

During her BAFTA Award acceptance speech earlier this year, she credited God with her success. “I identify myself as a child of God and I can’t get up here without thanking God,” she said.

She also encouraged others to look to God for help.

“I want to encourage young people. You don’t have to be young, you can be any age, but I want to encourage you – anyone going through a hard time,” she said. “God made you and you’re important. There might be some of you here who might be going through a hard time. I just want to encourage you and God loves you. Just let your light shine.”
