For a record-tying 26th week in a row (!!), Lauren Daigle’s “You Say” sits at the top of the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart. That matches Carrie Underwood’s 2014 hit “Something In the Water” for the longest chart-topping reign by a solo female artist in the history of Billboard’s Christian chart.
It’s not the only No. 1 spot occupied by the song. “You Say” has been at the top of the Christian Digital Song Sales chart for 24 weeks in a row and the top of the Christian Streaming chart for 22 in a row. (h/t Billboard)
Daigle and Underwood now rank in the top three for best-performing Christian songs by any artist to date. “You Say” and “Something In the Water” sit behind Hillsong’s “Oceans” (61 weeks!) and Hillsong Worship’s “What a Beautiful Name” (37 weeks) as the longest-running No. 1 Christian songs in the history of Billboard.
That’s not all. Lauren Daigle’s crossover appeal has been well-documented, but “You Say” is seeing some mainstream success as well. The song debuted at No. 40 on the Pop Songs airplay chart, No. 8 on Adult Pop and No. 19 on Adult Contemporary.
