Clive Davis confirmed Saturday at his annual pre-Grammys party that Jennifer Hudson would assume the role of Aretha Franklin in an upcoming biopic about the soul singer. Hudson was performing a medley of Aretha’s hits at the event.
Hudson confirmed the news Sunday on Instagram, saying, “I don’t even know what to say…look at God!”
