The team behind Nacho Libre is reuniting. Director Jared Hess, the filmmaker behind films including Nacho Libre and Napoleon Dynamite, is working with two New Girl writers on a new movie called Micronations. The comedy will reteam Hess with actor Jack Black in a story that, according to Variety, is about “a lovable oddball [who] finds a place to belong among the bizarre and ridiculous world of ‘do-it-yourself countries,’ inhabited by a motley crew of eccentrics and visionaries who have declared their own backyards sovereign nations … or ‘micronations.’” In a statement, Hess explained, “Once I learned that there were people within the United States who have created their very own countries, I knew I had to make a movie about them” …
