Google Street View on the Top of the World

Ever wanted to climb Mt. Everest? Thanks to Google, now you can—virtually! (Without all of the pesky years of preparation, massive travel expenses and risk of almost certain death). Google Street View, the online map that lets users view actual street-level images from locations around the world, has released new panoramic images from the top of four of the world’s highest mountains. The project is being led by Dan Fredinburg; a man with arguably the world’s coolest official job title, “Google Adventurer”. Fredinburg and his “Mountain Enthusiast” team (yes, also their official title) have been tasked by Google to capture some of the world’s most remote locations on film, and post them to Google Maps …
