Saturday Night Live is prepping for its big return. This next week will see the season premiere, and we already knew that Ryan Gosling will host along with JAY-Z serving as the musical guest. But now we know what the rest of SNL‘s opening lineup will look like.
On October 7, Wonder Woman herself will host, along with Sam Smith serving as the musical guest. Gal Gadot isn’t necessarily a known comedic entity, but she’s displayed a delightful charm and wit on her press tour for Wonder Woman, so there’s every reason to believe she’s got the chops.
And then October 14 will bring Kumail Nanjiani in to host, most likely as part of Nanjiani’s push to get The Big Sick in front of Oscar voters. Nanjiani’s a natural comedian, as evidenced by Silicon Valley, and he’ll be joined by P!nk as the musical guest. Also, it’s safe to assume Alec Baldwin will be around somewhere.
