FX Is Working on a New Miniseries about the Underground Railroad

Cable network FX is working on a new miniseries about a woman—loosely based on Harriet Tubman—attempting to escape a life of slavery via the underground railroad. The Code is based on the 2008 James McBride novel Song Yet Sung, about a runaway slave who has “prophetic dreams” about the future Civil Rights movement and even contemporary hip-hop music, while attempting to escape evil slave owners.
