Erin from ‘The Office’ Is Getting Her Own Show

It’s been a tough year for The Office. With no Michael, very little Andy, the departure of both Ryan and Kelly and a kind-of-depressing Jim and Pam subplot, the final season of the show is limping toward the finish line. But one of the lone bright spots has been Ellie Kemper’s hilariously aloof Erin—the consistently funny receptionist. Now, Kemper is getting her own show. Ellie Kemper has signed for the lead role in Brenda Forever, a new sitcom pilot ordered by NBC. Here’s the pitch: “Stories from Brenda Miller’s past and present are interwoven to give a unique portrait of how a chubby, awkward, but incredibly confident 13-year-old grew up to be a 31-year-old woman who still marches to the beat of her own drum” …
