Tina Fey Warrior Princess is looking to bring her considerable talent and charm back to television (again), and it’s coming none too soon for NBC, who is running out of good comedies fast. They’ve bought the first season of an as-yet untitled show that, compared to Fey’s past work, sounds a little dark. It’ll star Ellie Kemper as a girl re-adjusting to life after she escapes a Marcy May Marlene-type doomsday cult. Kemper’s involvement is assuring, as she’s shaping up to be one of the most promising new comedians on the field right now, and Robert Carlock—who helped Fey dream up 30 Rock—is onboard as well, so there’s every chance that this will be good.
