We can barely breathe. What started as a funny but bold-minded Twitter meme has become a live performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live with an actual member of Toto. Long ago, a brave Twitter user made a profile devoted solely to asking Weezer to cover “Africa” by Toto. A couple weeks ago, the band obliged, but now, they’ve given more than any of us could have dared to dream.

Hope was abound early, but then, in an amazing troll move, Weezer instead released a cover of Toto’s “Rosanna.” It was great, but at the same time, very devastating.

But now, it’s been done. Weezer covered “Africa,” and then the song flew around the Internet, and now they’re performing it live. It’s just the best. The Internet is awful most of the time, but sometimes it rocks. Literally.
