Now, everyone just settle down. It’s probably fine. But we should be aware that the Curiosity has found what appears to be a, like, piece of metal? It’s hard to tell exactly, but it sort of looks like a nail sticking out of the Martian surface. It’s not very big (might only be a fifth of an inch) but it’s there, it casts a shadow and it’s enough to set the Internet on fire. There are a few possible explanations: it’s part of a meteorite, for example (an unusually shiny meteorite). Or, of course, it could be an underground Martian spaceship. Just brainstorming here, so there’s no wrong answers …
