If you’ve received an email claiming to be from Netflix telling you that your account has been deactivated—and asking you to immediately enter a credit card number—don’t take the bait.
As a recent Facebook post from a police department in Michigan notes, the message is “not a legitimate email from Netflix and your accounts may be compromised/identity fraudulently used if you provide information.”
To be fair to those who’ve fallen for it, the email does look pretty convincing.
