Don’t Fall for This Fake Netflix Scam That’s Going Around

If you’ve received an email claiming to be from Netflix telling you that your account has been deactivated—and asking you to immediately enter a credit card number—don’t take the bait.

As a recent Facebook post from a police department in Michigan notes, the message is “not a legitimate email from Netflix and your accounts may be compromised/identity fraudulently used if you provide information.”

To be fair to those who’ve fallen for it, the email does look pretty convincing.

Save your email energy for actual correspondence, like getting back to that prince who needs help claiming his inheritance.
