Does This Video Show a Supernatural ‘Glory Cloud’ at a Bethel Worship Service?

At a worship service at Bethel Church back in 2011, something seemingly unexplainable was captured on film. During a time of intense worship, a “glory cloud” seemed to appear over the congregation. This video was posted a year ago, but has been making the rounds again this week.

According to WP Films, who initially planned to use the footage in a documentary called Father of Lights but ended up cutting it, “Bill Johnson [Bethel’s pastor] was also hesitant at the time to bring too much attention to it, fearing that people might chase more after the gift given than the giver of the gift. So I put it in the vault. But now, of course, we’re opening up that vault.”

The video opens with worship artist Jeremy Riddle explaining how the “cloud began to manifest and swirl” during worship.

“Manifestations” like this are theologically controversial  but have been reported at charismatic worship services and revivals.
