Daft Punk, Lorde, Pharrell’s Hat Among Last Night’s Big Grammy Winners

Robotic duo Daft Punk completed their latest mission of music industry takeover at last night’s Grammys, taking home the evening’s two biggest prizes. Along with winning both Album of the Year for Random Access Memories and Record of the Year for “Get Lucky”, the duo also helmed one of the evening’s most memorable performances with an on-stage disco party that included a collaboration with Stevie Wonder. Other big winners included Lorde, who won Song of the Year (at 17, she is the youngest ever to be recognized in the category) for “Royals” and Best Pop Solo performance. Hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis won four trophies, including Best New Artist, and Jay-Z, who came into the night with nine nominations, won a Grammy for his collaboration with Justin Timberlake. The evening’s other major winner was Pharrell’s epic Dudley Do Right hat, that gained more than 13,000 Twitter followers (@PharrellHat) simply for showing up and looking like the head gear of a person who clearly does not care anymore.
