Chris Pine Is Going ‘Braveheart’ in the Spot for Netflix’s ‘Outlaw King’

You know, Chris Pine really sneaked up on us. Take a look at the last two years on his IMDB page: Hell or High Water in 2016 (great, great movie), followed by Star Trek: Beyond (solid). Then in 2017 he manages to hang with Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman before being truly one of the funniest parts of Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later.

This year, he was one of the few redeeming qualities in A Wrinkle In Time, and now, it looks like he’s gunning for peak Mel Gibson and Russell Crowe territory with Netflix’s The Outlaw King.

Man, we have to admit, what an awesome-looking movie. Has a little bit of a Revenant-ish story with some flavorous mix-ins of Braveheart and King Arthur. We’re in! Even Chris Pine’s accent sounds legitimate.
