Chobani Is Giving Away Its World-Changing Yogurt for Free

It’s not an exaggeration to say that Chobani is more than just another yogurt company. Founded by Turkish immigrant Hamdi Ulukaya, Chobani is committed to hiring immigrants, creation care and promoting healthy living. According to their mission statement, they operate on the principle that “business can be a force for good.”

The company has grown from its humble beginnings in upstate New York to become the top yogurt brand in the U.S. And now, in celebration of their 10th anniversary, Chobani is giving away free yogurt to every American.

Chobani set up an art installation in NYC’s Grand Central Station to announce its anniversary celebration. It’s a piece of augmented reality that uses projectors and lights to plant Shel Silverstein’s Giving Tree in the center of the terminal. Commuters can stop and plant virtual seeds that sprout into the full grown tree. For each seed planted, Chobani donates a case of yogurt to No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit dedicated to ending child hunger.

To get your free yogurt, visit Chobani’s website between now and March 4, print out a coupon and take it to a participating retail location.
