Chip and Jo’s Silo Will Now Host Church Services

Chip and Joanna Gaines, of HGTV and general life fame, have invited a Waco pastor and his congregation to hold their Sunday church services at Magnolia Market at the Silos.

The congregation, from Church Under the Bridge in Texas, has had to move their church due to construction, and after hearing the news, Chip Gaines offered up the use of the lawn at Magnolia Market free of charge. The pastor at Church Under the Bridge, Jimmy Dorrell, also said the couple donated $51,000 to the church’s Mission Waco’s nonprofit grocery store.

Gaines told the Waco Tribune-Herald: “I admired Jimmy [Dorrell] from afar. About a month ago, I read about the I-35 project that would impact his church. I was sitting in my office one day, day-dreaming, thinking about making a commitment, and we reached out to Jimmy. He came over to the Silos, and we agreed it would make a great fit geographically. We shook on it.”
