Christmas has come early. Comedy icon and professional photo-crasher Bill Murray revealed to Variety that he will be reuniting with Lost in Translation director Sofia Coppola for a very strange—but very cool—sounding TV Christmas special which will involve him “performing classic carols.” The details remain pretty fuzzy, but Murray told the outlet, “It’s not going to be live. We’re going to do it like a little movie. It won’t have a format, but it’s going to have music. It will have texture. It will have threads through it that are writing. There will be prose.” Sure, that description leaves a lot to the imagination and seems sort of self-contradictory (how can a “little movie” not have “a format”?) but we have no reason to doubt that Murray knows exactly what he’s doing …
