Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Tons More Have Been Added to the Obamas’ Virtual Commencement for 2020 Grads

There’s no doubt that this year’s graduates are facing some of the most daunting prospects in recent memory, with a soaring unemployment rate and a global pandemic threatening to upend their entry into the job market in ways from which they might never fully recover. Nothing can quite make up for that but YouTube is doing its best to make sure graduation is one to remember anyway.

Barack and Michelle Obama are headlining a virtual commencement ceremony that’s enlisted a pretty spectacular list of names that’s sure to make it significantly more memorable than the commencement ceremonies us non-2020 graduates got.

The lineup that includes the likes of Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Megan Thee Stallion, Malala Yusafzai, Doja Cat, BTS, Lady Gaga, Zendaya, Camilla Cabello, Kevin Durant, Bill and Melinda Gates, Kerry Washington, Jennifer Lopez, Alicia Keys, Lizzo, Condoleeza Rice, Kelly Rowland and tons more.

It’s not totally clear who’s performing, who’s delivering an address and who will just be around, but the whole thing promises to be pretty memorable in any case. It’ll kick off at noon PST on June 6.
