Being a Lifeguard at the Olympic Pool Is Officially the Most Chillax Job Ever

We can’t all have exciting jobs. If we’re honest with ourselves, we’ve all had slow days at work, and have had to fight boredom at the office. But, there’s a good chance your job has never been as chill as this clearly bored lifeguard, who, for some reason, is watching over the best swimmers on planet earth.

The New York Times, who captured the image, also reported that there are 75 lifeguards on duty at the games, and clarified that despite the opinions of snarky Internet writers and Twitter comedians, accidents do happen, even at the Olympics, and it’s a good idea to have lifeguards, just in case.

Though, let’s be honest here: There’s a very, very small chance Michael Phelps is going to need to be saved from drowning, so this pool protector will likely have a pretty laid back two weeks in Rio.
