This week, the team behind Snail Mail My Email, is once again taking boring emails and turning them into carefully drawn, handwritten letters—for free. The project was started back in 2011 by artist Ivan Cash with a simple concept: send him an email intended for a friend or family member, and his team of volunteer artists would turn them into amazing looking letters to be delivered the old-fashioned way. The idea was such a hit, that for the last two years, his team has revisited it for one week in November. The first collection of letters was even turned into a cool art book. Cash told Mashable that the art of writing a letter “is an act of true generosity that says, ‘I care about you and took the time to write this for you.'”The Snail Mail My Email team is accepting email submissions through Sunday.
