Microsoft has unveiled details about its new Xbox One gaming/entertainment console. The new device has many of the same features as the Xbox 360 in terms of video game-playing, but Microsoft has ambitious plans for its new high-tech toy. At yesterday’s press conference, they explained that in addition to being a high-end gaming console, the new Xbox can serve as a home entertainment hub—connecting your Internet-usage, television-watching and game-playing to one experience. Slate has even called it "Steve Job’s dream device” for its advertised ability to simplify home entertainment. Along with some cool-looking new gesture controls, voice command functionality and redesigned controller, the Xbox One also features new integration with Skype, DVR technology, Windows and a Blu-Ray player … Discuss
