Comedy website FunnyorDie.com has announced they will be releasing “the first Steve Jobs movie”, iSteve, on April 15. The comedy will star Justin Long as the late Apple founder. Don’t expect too much commentary on Jobs’ actual life or personality though; according to the film’s writer/director Ryan Perez, “In true Internet fashion, it’s not based on very thorough research—essentially a cursory look at the Steve Jobs Wikipedia page.” This comes on the heels of the news that the release of the Ashton Kutcher-helmed biopic Jobs, (which appears to be a decidedly serious look at the life of tech innovator) originally slated for an April release, has been delayed indefinitely. Last week, the tech world was buzzing about a new report that speculated Apple may soon be releasing a smart watch. Now it’s being reported that before he died, Apple chief executive Steve Jobs expressed interest in creating an Apple car. Though it seems unlikely that Apple will be jumping into the automotive industry any time soon, it is plausible that they could eventually. The executive who is in charge of Apple’s internet services is also a board member at Ferrai, and the company’s head of marketing is a noted car aficionado. The Wall Street Journal seems to think that Apple will be dropping another phone sometime this year, scaling back some of the iPhone's premium features and, potentially, shrinking its size a little for an alternate, more masses-friendly phone. Steve Jobs was famously against cheaper versions of his products but, well, Tim Cook's running the company now, and Apple's wasted no time in releasing new products, like the iPad mini. A smaller iPhone would be the next logical step for people out there who don't have an iPhone yet. Who surely exist. Somewhere ... Discuss
