Giving your young child an iPad to play Zombies vs. Ninjas for a few minutes seems like a harmless decision. But as the parents of one five-year-old recently found out, it doesn’t take long for an unattended kid to rack up a serious bill in the App store. The child’s parents say that in less than 15 minutes, little Danny bought $2,500 worth of add-ons in the game. It wasn’t until the following day when her credit card company contacted her about suspicious activity that Danny’s mother found out about her son’s ambitious gaming purchases. Fortunately for Danny and the family, Apple ended up refunding the full amount and also gave them a free lesson in iPad parental controls. Remember back in the day when slap bracelets made the perfect accessory to an oversized Looney Tunes T-shirt and some rad L.A. Lights? Well, apparently, so does Apple. According to this patent filing, the company’s rumored iWatch may have slap bracelet-like functionality. Apple insiders claim that the tech giant currently has more than 100 product designers working on the project, which suggests that it is way beyond the experimental phase. Though many of the functionality details are still unclear, some tech-watchers believe the new wearable computer will allow you to send text messages, measure fitness goals and control your other Apple devices, right from your wrist. Along with a cool slap bracelet watch, also be on the lookout for the POGs iPad app and an iPhone case that converts your sleek mobile device into a massive, grey Zach Morris phoneDiscuss

The good news for iPhone owners is that Apple is generally pretty quick to resolve security issues through software updates. The company has already released a statement saying it is aware of the issue and will deliver a fix soon … Discuss

Last week, the tech world was buzzing about a new report that speculated Apple may soon be releasing a smart watch. Now it’s being reported that before he died, Apple chief executive Steve Jobs expressed interest in creating an Apple car. Though it seems unlikely that Apple will be jumping into the automotive industry any time soon, it is plausible that they could eventually. The executive who is in charge of Apple’s internet services is also a board member at Ferrai, and the company’s head of marketing is a noted car aficionado. On this week’s RELEVANT Podcast, we discussed the new smart watch and asked listeners what product they would like to see Apple start making … Discuss
