Admittedly, there's no real way of knowing what Noah looked like, but there's no reason to assume this first photo from the set of Darren Aronofsky's Noah epic doesn't look like Noah. It definitely looks like Russell Crowe. In the meantime, Aronofsky's movie keeps getting bigger and bigger, and involving more and more biblical staples. We've been posting a lot of stuff on Darren Aronofsky's Noah movie because, hey, it keeps sounding more and more fascinating. There have been reports of a few scenes featuring the Nephalim. Darren Aronofsky has said that his Noah draws inspiration from Mad Max. And now, Paramount Pictures has been kind enough to provide us with this shot of the Ark that they're building and, uhm, it's huge? In the unlikely event of another world wide flood, this thing certainly looks like it could handle most of us ... Discuss

 

Lots of Bible movie buzz is starting to come from Iceland, where Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan) is filming his huge budget Noah movie, starring Jennifer Connelly (Requiem for a Dream), Emma Watson ("Hermione" in the Harry Potter films) and Russell Crowe as the titular builder of the arky arky. Today, Aronofsky announced via Twitter that he has cast Anthony Hopkins as Methuselah, the World's Oldest Man. Genesis says that Methuselah, Noah's grandfather, lived to be 969 years old, which is at least as many movies as Hopkins has been in, so it's a really spot on bit of casting ... Discuss
