Mariah Carey, America's take on the Princess of Hearts, is getting paid $18 million dollars to be a new judge on American Idol, making her the highest paid reality show judge of all time. What an honor. How reasonable. Don't forget to extend you congratulations to Mimi via whatever social networking platform seems most appropriate to you. The $18 million dollar deal puts her a couple million ahead of Britney Spears, who's going to be judging X-Factor next season, and $6 millon more than Christina Aguilera, who's going to continue to lend her esteemed opinion to the third season of The Voice. As we prepare to move in to what promises to be a crazy year (2008), we can reflect on the highs and lows of 2007.
