Sometimes, in life, the little things can end up being a source of frustration and even insurmountable difficulty. You may see others struggling with this challenge and think that surely you, with all your strength and cunning, will not have a problem overcoming this obstacle, only to find yourself bested, lying in a heap of your peers. Of course, next time, you'll be wiser about the ways you take on life's little hurdles, but we don't have that video metaphor. We only have this one ... Discuss
Man. The noblest beast. Through courage and cunning, man has forged rivers, crossed oceans, ascended mountains and even dared to set foot on the very moon and beyond. And though greatness beckons, it is our destiny to sometimes stumble and fall in the tendrils of our nature. This is one such moment as Max, the crowning achievement of creation, reckons with the unfairness of the world around him. In time, he too will join humanity in the sun. But today is not that day ... How to chart the decline of the once mighty Richard Dawkins? Time was, he was a feared, powerful voice for atheism, but his all-too-frequent nonsensical Twitter rants have brought his reputation down to rubble, and this morning's was a particular doozy. Violent pedophilia is worse" and that "date rape is bad. Stranger rape at knifepoint is worse. If you think that's an endorsement of date rape, go away and learn how to think."
He's been defending himself against wild backlash ever since, seemingly unable to comprehend why anyone would be upset by his simple, "logical" observation, in which he did not define exactly what he means by "'mild' pedophilia" and whether or not he has any authority to speak on various categories of rape. As Salon notes, "let’s thank God he’s not the one who actually does get to decide whose rape was worse than anybody else’s" ... Discuss

2-year-old Kayden Elijah Kinckle was born with a condition called omphalocele, which caused his intestines to stick through his navel. The condition ultimately led to the amputation of his left leg and right foot. Doctors predicted he wouldn't make it, but not only has he made it—he's learning to walk with the help of new walker. It's no mean feat, but Kayden has the heart of a champion and his mantra—"I got it! I got it!"—is probably the most inspiring thing you'll hear all day ... Discuss
