It's been decided by the people who decide these things that famed Orson Welles classic Citizen Kane is no longer the greatest movie of all time. That honor now goes to Hitchcock's Vertigo, the new greatest movie of all time. The switch was decided by the Sight and Sound poll, a once-a-decade poll of some 845 experts who are asked to rank their favorite movies. And, this year, Vertigo dethroned Citizen Kane from a post it'd held since 1962. So, obviously, it's just a very official, history-making poll that ought to make all of us rethink our own personal favorite movie of all time. If your favorite movie isn't a thousand years old and black-and-white, than it's time to get with the program. Sight and Sound did not weigh in on what exactly changed about Citizen Kane or Vertigo to suddenly make one better than the other, but the important thing is that's a historic day for lists ... Sony and Neilsen conducted a poll to rate tv's most memorable moments of the past 50 years, and have released the list for the rest of us. You're probably thinking of things like the series finale of Seinfeld or maybe when iCarly finally learned to accept herself for who she is or whatever.
