Vampire Weekend returns with their third effort, Vampires of the Modern City, and you can stream the whole thing for free over on iTunes. If you're not a fan of Vampire Weekend, this album probably won't win you over. It's wrought with much the same candy-coated melodies and ten-dollar words as their previous two albums. If, however, you find the Brooklyn quartet's stylings winsome, you'll feel right at home in this particular city. Got it? It's not a good album for Vampire Weekend haters, but it's a great album for their fans. Listen accordingly ... Discuss

 

Her Royal Highness Beyoncé has lent her significant vocal presence to a jazzed-up cover of her and Jay's "Crazy In Love" for The Great Gatsby soundtrack and, well, it sounds very much like you'd expect a jazz cover of "Crazy In Love" to sound. The soundtrack is becoming one of 2013's more bonkers albums, with some spectacular selections from The xx, Jack White, Florence + The Machine, Lana Del Ray and Andre 3000. It's a good thing the members of southern garage-rock band The Whigs play music for a living and don't work at a restaurant, as is evidenced in today's video for their song, "Staying Alive." Although, having the band serve you spaghetti and meatballs does look like a pretty fun time... Discuss
