Military officials say that the number of Guantanamo Bay prisoners now participating in a hunger strike has risen from 45 to 52. Days earlier, guards at the detention facility conducted a raid and moved most of the prisoners into lockdown, taking away access to items like satellite TV, soccer fields and books. The clash comes after authorities say prisoners covered security cameras and provoked guards with sticks. Earlier this week, The New York Times published an op-ed titled “Gitmo Is Killing Me”, that a prisoner at the facility dictated to his lawyer over the phone. In it, he describes being forced fed while on hunger strike and other disturbing details of his 11 year-detention. "I am now 35.
