Terrorism Looking Less Likely in Missing Malaysian Flight Case

Investigators are starting to think the stolen passports onboard the missing Malaysian flight were a coincidence. The passports in question were in the possession of Pouri Nourmohammadi, 19, and Delavar Seyedmohammaderza, 29—both Iranian men who do not seem to have any ties to terrorist organizations. “The more information we get, the more we are inclined to conclude it is not a terrorist incident,” said Interpol Secretary General Ronald K. Noble.

Malaysian authorities said they are now investigating new reports that the Boeing 777 changed course and made it all the way over to the Malacca Strait—hundreds of miles away from the last place civilian authorities last made contact with pilots.
