When a band like Purity Ring releases an album, we tend to do two things. First, we obsess over it and talk about it like it's the greatest thing ever (which it could be). But then second, we wonder if it's possible for the sound that's on the album to be properly translated to a live setting. Creating a trippy electronic vibe in the studio is one thing...performing it live is something totally different. Well, after seeing this video of Purity Ring performing Belispeak at the Pitchfork Music Festival, we think it's safe to say that question number two has been adequately answered. Do yourself a favor and get the new album Shrines now, and be sure to catch the indie-electro-pop duo on tour this summer and fall...
