Lake District, a picturesque little English town, is home to a small inn called The Danson Deme Hotel, which has taken to replacing its Gideons Bibles in guest rooms with Fifty Shades of Grey, because it's obviously a place run by connoisseurs of literature's finest gems. Jonathan Denby, the hotel's owner, said that it was "wholly inappropriate" to have the Bible in a room where someone who might be offended by its content could accidentally read it or something. So, the obvious thing to do was to put Fifty Shades of the Grey in its place, apparently. Because of how much more appropriate it is ... Discuss

A real dream come true for Fifty Shades of Grey fans out there, particularly since—presumably—having to actually read the book probably stretched them to the point of mental exhaustion. Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti, the team behind Social Network, have been picked to produce the film adaptation of America's favorite book. Choice quote from Universal co-chairman Donna Langley, “At its core, Fifty Shades of Grey is a complex love story, requiring a delicate and sophisticated hand to bring it to the big screen.” Admittedly, we have not and will not be reading Fifty Shades of Grey because, hey, life's too short, but we're pretty sure "sophisticated" and "delicate" are two words we wouldn't use to describe it. And we definitely wouldn't use the phrase "love story" ... Discuss
