Last night was the debut of the first ever YouTube Music Awards—a decidedly unpolished take on the award show genre. The evening’s unscripted format was “hosted” by actor Jason Schwartzman and comedian Reggie Watts, who pretty much just roamed the stage with note cards throughout the evening. Even though the Spike Jonze-directed show itself kind of came off as one big disorganized party, the evening’s “live music videos” made for some memorable performances.
