You're Going to be a Movie Star, Charlie Brown

The film blog world is abuzz with the news that Peanuts is finally going to be turned into a movie. Frankly, it's hard to see what the big deal is. Peanuts already is a movie. It's called A Charlie Brown Christmas and it's perfect. Nevertheless, November 2015 will see the feature-length release of an actual Peanuts movie that will reunite the whole gang. CGI? Real life? Traditional animation? 3D? Studios are keeping quiet on that for now, which is cause for worry, but Charles Schulz's grandson is writing the script, which is reason for hope. The Vince Guaraldi Trio has yet to weigh in on whether or not they've been invited, which is also cause for worry ...

A Charlie Brown Christmas and other shows that were 25 to 40 minutes are actually referred to as "TV Specials". But there were 4 Feature Films when Schulz was still alive which were the following:

A Boy Named Charlie Brown (1969)
Snoopy, Come Home (1972)
Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown (1977)
Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (And Don't Come Back!) (1980)
