Wheaton College, the large Christian university where Dennis Hastert was once a student, has begun to distance themselves from the former Speaker of the House after his indictment last week. Hastert allegedly lied about making large payments to a male victim to keep quiet about sexual abuse he suffered when the 73-year-old was a teacher and wrestling coach more than 30 years ago. According to NBC, Wheaton has now renamed “The J. Dennis Hastert Center for Economics, Government, and Public Policy,” and Hastert has resigned from the school’s board of advisers.
