It's always a little odd when a video of somebody else's marriage proposal goes viral. Tens of thousands of people from all over the world watch this very intimate and very momentous exchange between two total strangers and, generally, we can't help but feel very happy for them. But, of course, we'll never know them, so it's strange to get this window into their lives. And sometimes, admittedly, the snarky, cynical side of some of us might wonder just why this guy feels so compelled to stage some massive, viral-ready romantic circus or whatever and whether or not that is really the best way to get going on your marriage. Like, there's no rule that you have to videotape your proposal, dude. But then that snarky, cynical side sees something like this, silly country music and all, and our cold heart melts once again ...

This was great, but you do realize that the "silly country music" you referred to was the same Mumford and Sons that you praised a few slices ago.
