There's a new trailer for Peter Jackson's The Hobbit, and this may come as a shock, but it looks very good. So strange that Peter Jackson would make a gorgeous-looking, faithful adaptation of a J.R.R. Tolkien novel, but that seems to be the case ...

Knowing this came out made me re-read the Hobbit a few weeks ago for the first time in 20 years. Forgot how good it was.
The rock giants and the trolls look awesome, as does everything else. My only hope is that he doesn't leave out essentials like he did in LOTR, such as Tom Bombadil and the return of Saruman to Shire.
Also, I am a nerd.
