Tragedy has struck San Bernardino County, in which a semi-truck carrying 76,000 pounds of delicious, wonderful beef ribs caught fire, stalling area traffic and hypnotizing passers-by with an aroma the fire department confirmed was delicious. Spokeman Al Franco told reporters that the truck fire had a “wonderful BBQ beef rib odor to it,” though no one was brave enough to attempt to rescue any of the ribs. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but all this begs the question: Is California so desperate for heroes that no one will risk life and limb to save innocent barbecue ribs from their fiery waste?
