Football star Tim Tebow has launched an effort to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. Tebow, who was born in the Philippines, where his parents are missionaries, has long held ties to the country. In addition to church planting efforts throughout the region, the Tim Tebow Foundation is currently working with CURE International to build an orthopedic children’s hospital in the country. According to a statement, the building was unharmed during the storm, and the foundation will now be collecting funds that will be directed to disaster relief efforts.
