Study: America Becoming More ‘Post-Christian’

According to a new study from The Barna Group, America is becoming an increasingly “post-Christian” society. By looking at beliefs and spiritual practices, they created “Post-Christian Metrics”. Their research found that though seven out of 10 people said they were Christians, their responses about behaviors associated with Christian faith (praying, reading the Bible, attending Church) showed an increase in post-Christian characteristics. I think people are redefining what they spiritual life looks like, and their association with the church as a whole. One thing is for sure though, people are still looking for answers and to have a spiritual life, and that's a good thing.

I don't even know what post-Christian means. Sounds like another subgenre. We'll end up with nonsense labels like "semi-futuristic post-baptist method-influenced art-Lutheran pre-Anglican Christian" before we know what's happening...

But of course public 'education' in govt schools has nothing to do with this trend[!?] Increasingly, our accepted curriculum has been written to reflect tenets of socialism! Meanwhile dependence on the Creator morphed into a false sense of affluence and/or entitlement that exalts SELF! [...]

Hmm and we wonder why our country (the world) is so messed up. If we weren't "post Christian", we wouldn't he involved in half the issues we are now. People need to start reason their bibles again.
