Apparently, The Atlantic Wire has put together a fascinating list of the most common “crutch words,” in the English language; a plight that is becoming exponentially more serious of late. A crutch word is essentially a word or phrase that is used too often and often incorrectly. Basically, things people say irregardless of having a proper understanding of how and when to say it: A “crutch,” if you will.
