Okay, everyone. Get some water. Take a seat. Deep breaths. We have some news. There's been a lot of earth-shattering movie news lately. First, there came word that the landmark Christian movie of a generation, Left Behind would be rebooted by Nic Cage. And now it's come to this. Are you ready? Do you have a paper bag close by? In 2015, just two years shy of the original's fortieth birthday, Star Wars: Episode VII will be hitting theaters. Disney, who bought Lucasfilm early Tuesday, wasted no time in greenlighting a new Star Wars movie. Okay, okay. Easy does it. The as-yet untitled film would take place after the events of Return of the Jedi. So, what do you say, everyone? Do you have a bad feeling about this? ...

I hope not. I'd hate to see those books ruined. The only good way this will work is to move up in the timeline about 40 years or so.

Okay, maybe I'm over-reacting. Let's think about this rationally. What will the story be? Will they parrot the books that already exist and are accepted as cannon? Will they ignore them (loved but faulty as they are) and pick up where RotJ left off? Will they go for a different era altogether, in a galaxy even further away? Is there going to be some mis-informed attempt to shoehorn Yoda or Vader back in simply because they are SW's best-selling products? HOW IS THIS GOING TO WORK??
