According to a CNN/ORC International poll released this week, Pope Francis is a really popular guy—in fact, by most measures, he’s the most popular living religious figure in the world. Three out of four Americans, 88% of all Catholics and even some notable atheists have a favorable view of the latest pope. According to the CNN report, “More than 85% of American Catholics say Francis is neither too liberal nor too conservative, and 86% say he’s in touch with the modern world.” If only the media had some sort of way to recognize a leader who has had massive impact on culture and world events in the last year …
