Oprah: Rob Bell ‘Opened My Heart and My Mind’

Former pastor and author Rob Bell has found a new fan in Oprah. The two recently sat down for a two and a half hour conversation about God, spirituality and Bell’s books that will eventually air on an episode of her “Super Soul Sunday” show on OWN. In a post on her website, she said,

"The ideas Rob sets forth in his books Love Wins and What We Talk About When We Talk About God opened my heart and my mind. People like him are the reason I set out to build OWN in the first place: to be able to gather a global community of like-minded seekers."

Bell’s latest book, What We Talk About When We Talk About God, was recently named the first choice for "Oprah's Super Soulful Book of the Month." The network executive and talk show icon wrote, “When I first started reading it, I was highlighting my favorite passages, but then I realized—what's the point? I've marked every page! It just wowed me.” Currently, OWN has not said when Oprah’s interview with Bell will air …

New Age-y Oprah is a new fan of New Age-y Rob Bell. Not surprising in the slightest.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

...But you, Keep your head in all situations, endure hardships. Do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. (2Tim4:5)

It should shoot up Red Flags all over the place.
" For false prophets and false Christs will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect-if that were possible. So be on your guard. I have told you everything ahead of time" -Jesus, Mark 13:22-23

I love it. Christians who follow the Bible that says "thou shalt not judge" doing just that. What a bunch of hypocrites. You ever wonder why so many non-believers won't come to Christ? Look at your behavior, and then stop questioning it. You ruin the religious potential and belief in faith others could have. The minute someone posts or talks about something YOU don't like, it has to be satanic, or evil or something bad. Talk about a really sad situation. It's such a pity that fools like you are so quick to judge everything YOU think is wrong. Get over it. The world is full of people who won't always live like you want them to, act like you think they should, or believe like you hope they will. That's life. Rob Bell is amazing. New agy? Yeah. That's pathetic.
