Now a Clothing Brand Is Experimenting with the Name-Your-Price Model

Last week, we interviewed Kohl Crecelius, the founder and CEO of the organization Krochet Kids Int., who hinted that they were getting ready to announce an interesting new promotion today. The non-profit trains and empowers women in impoverished communities in the developing world to make their clothes and become involved in a mentorship program, while providing them with a job. The brand has been around for a few years now, but today, they are letting customers name their own price (as long as it’s over a set minimum) on items as part of their “Know Who Made It” campaign. (Everything you buy from Krochet Kids Int. also contains the handwritten name of the woman who made it.)
