A mosque in Murfreesboro, Tenn is officially opening today after a very public two-year battle with local residents who repeatedly went to court in attempts to move the mosque somewhere else. Other methods of keeping the mosque at bay have included a large rally, vandalism, arson and a bomb threat. Several members of a local church recently put up a series of white crosses along the street that runs by the mosque. According to Middle Tennessee Baptist Church Member, Mack Richards, the crosses are meant to make a statement about their feelings about the mosque. “It was more or less to make a statement to the Muslims about how we felt about our religion, our Christianity. We wanted them to see the crosses and know how we felt about things” ...

Hating them, planting crosses, not welcoming them-none of these things will bring them to Jesus. Loving them, clearly living like Jesus, and then earning the right to introduce them to Him will! These believers need to see how priveleged they are to be entrusted with the souls of these people right in their own neighborhood. What an opportunity!

I know the people in this church and the pastor. They do love Muslims. They do feel privileged to have Muslims right next to them. They have had Muslims visit them on Sunday and they were very well welcomed. Why did they ask this guy, who from the article isn't even a member at the church, why not ask the pastor why they have the crosses?
