After months of pressure and a particularly bad week of campaigning, Governor Mitt Romney followed through on his promise and released his 2011 tax return, which ought to give anyone who knows how to read tax returns something to do for the rest of the day. The records reveal that Romney paid 14.1% of taxes, and donated approximately $4 million to charity. Romney is only the second presidential candidate since Ronald Reagan to not release at least six years of returns to the public, so expect the partisan squabbling to continue ...

Actually, a 20 year summary was released; it highlights the fact that he paid an average of 20.2% in effective tax rate since 1990.
And why the spin of this being a particularly bad week ofcampaigning? The leaked video was raw, but it was the first time either candidate has actually said something substantive.
